This Budget plan is wild to put it mildly. Around 2M$ for 1 year of operation. So in the worst case, 6M$ for 3 Years of operation. I see no way how there should be 100% sustainability. As with this budget calculations the XDC Community intends to grow, the budget needed will be higher.
So we are talking about 2M$ needed revenue in 2026. Revenue streams are questionable in case of Community support.- I mean when we are talking about on-chain voting this shouldn't be a profit oriented thing but rather burn XDC. On Chain Voting Platform (Electron)
I think XDC Community should focus on their core and that's helping the community to get into XDC easier with all the documentation to improve decentralization through standardization. This Budget is way over the top...
500k$ for a year of operation would be reasonable. The salary is getting increased every half year of over 25%. Don't see why that should be.
From beginning to end of this funding period, that's an increase of OVER 58% in total. For a Year ?!
In this regard, for documentation and the XIP processes, I don't see any need for marketing. Same for travel expenses and Industry events. So rather XDC Foundation needs a budget cut as they should be attending Industry events, or it's unnecessary for XDC Community.
XDC Community has been founded with focus on standardization. All additional non-core work should be cut out and the focus should get back to:
Maintain XDC Network Improvement Proposal (XIP) process and keep developing standardization for the process.
"Enable the XDC developer discussions on social networks (Discord, Twitter, Medium, LinkedIn, xdc.dev) and provide resources where applicable.
Multiple languages: Japanese, Hindi, Portuguese, Turkish, and English
Facilitate and support the growth of the XDC network standardization through the XIP process.
Many standards are required to get to network equivalent with existing major blockchains. For example: XRC165, XRC721, and XRC1155.
Creation of the Dev Portal (xdc.community/) website to link to Documents, tutorials, XIPs, FAQs, Example Code, Developer Education (Challenges)
Continue the development of the documentation Hub (docs.xdc.community/) with how-to tutorials and expand to include projects built on XDC
Continue the creation of video tutorials and YouTube content".
