If you are looking in your wallet and not seeing any balance, then it might be because of RPC issue.

FYI - Wallets (XDC, MM, Trust or any wallet) never hold any funds. It's just an interface to let you access your funds stored on respective blockchains.

So, Whenever in doubt, look at your wallet address on the explorer

Will the balance be restored to the xdc wallet at some point?

As I said the wallets don't hold any funds. Those are just a User interface to let you access your funds stored on the blockchain itself.

The team is working on fixing the RPC issues and you should be able to see your funds in your wallet soon.

Yeah, just check here:
explorer.xinfin.network/

Paste your wallet address on there, you can copy this directly from your xdc wallet, & it should show your balance.

Also, I've just checked, my wallet balance is fine now. Maybe yours is too.
