We usally take the snapshot of the XDC directory but while taking the last snap shot instead of taking the snapshot of XDC directory we took the snapshot of XDC/chaindata so what you can do is delete the chaindata folder first and then create a new chaindata folder and then unzip the xdcchain.tar file inside the chaindata directory and then up your node.
Thank you for your polite response. Yes, I ended up doing the same thing. However, I wanted to know if this is just for this time or if it will be the same for next time and beyond. Personally, I prefer to get snapshots in the XDC directory I'm familiar with.

It's for this time only when the new snapshot will be updated snapshot will be of XDC directory only.
