One more question on Node Rewards. (xinfin.org/setup-masternode). As per the attached document & the link above, the Node rewards for core nodes are distributed at the end of each epoch (900 blocks ~ 50 min) for the core node. My queries are:
1) Does the Protector and Observer node also get the reward every epoch OR they get the reward (like before) on 6th of every month (direct transfer to the owner account)?
2) When we create a node on Xin Fin Dapp, we do not get to specify the node Type (Validator / Protector / Observer) when we lock the 10M XDC. What is the default Node Type when the new node is added? (So far, we assumed that it will be Protector node, given Validators are always maxed out based on the cap, but now there is Observer node as a third new type of node. So, need some clarity on the node creation process (Given both Protector & Observer need 10M XDC, but reward rate is different).
1) The team is already working on rewards automation. There is no ETA yet but once that goes live rewards will be distributed every epoch no matter what type of node you have.
2) It has to do with the number of nodes.
Validators aka Core nodes are fixed at 108 (Completely filled). Then number of Protector nodes is double of Validators nodes i.e 216 and there is no cap on the number of observer nodes. As soon as the quota of Protector nodes is gone, the next node will automatically be the observer node.
