Project Description
The Digital Notary platform will serve as a decentralized application (dApp) that allows users to upload, sign, and verify documents using smart contracts on the ICP blockchain. It aims to replace or augment traditional notary services, making them more accessible and secure. This platform will be particularly useful for legal documents, property deeds, and various types of contracts.
Core Components
- User-Friendly Interface: A simple and intuitive UI/UX design will make it easy for users to navigate through the platform. Users can upload and select document templates with ease. Data Fields: Customizable fields will allow users to add specific data to the document, such as names, dates, and other pertinent information.
- Digital Signatures: Utilizing blockchain technology, users can securely sign documents. Each signature will be timestamped and recorded on the blockchain.
- Hashing and Security: The platform will hash the content at each signature step, adding an extra layer of security. This ensures that any changes to the document are easily traceable. Contract Viewing: Users will have the ability to view the contract in various stages, including sections that have been signed and those that are pending.
- Sharing Functionality: A secure sharing option will allow users to send copies of the notarized document to other parties via email or a secure link.

Sustainability
Ubitquity LLC's multi-year licensing agreement with our Digital Notary platform not only provides a consistent revenue stream but also serves as a market validation for our technology. We're also in the final stages of negotiations with a leading Intellectual Property Law firm, a partnership that promises to bring both revenue and added credibility to our platform. Our collaboration with Women in Blockchain Canada aims to foster the adoption of blockchain technology in legal systems and offers us a stage to showcase our capabilities, thereby attracting a broader user base. On the financial front, we are actively seeking venture capital investment to expedite the platform's development and scaling. Additionally, we've begun the process of applying for various grants and are in discussions for strategic partnerships within the Web3 ecosystem. Much like Vscience, which aims to commercialize IP-NFTs in the biopharma sector and bring real-world change using the Web3 infrastructure, our goal is to revolutionize the notary industry. We believe that with adequate funding, our platform can significantly contribute to the real-world utilization of the XDC Network. So, we urge everyone to review this proposal, ask questions, and cast their votes. Let's change the world for the better while generating returns in the process.
Benefits to the XDC Network
If funded, our Digital Notary project will serve as a transformative application on the XDC Network, significantly enhancing its value across multiple dimensions. The platform will bolster the network's trust and credibility by leveraging its immutable and transparent features for secure document notarization. This, in turn, could attract more developers and enterprises to the XDC ecosystem. By offering globally accessible notary services, the platform will increase the utility and demand for XDC tokens, potentially boosting their value. The project will also showcase the network's scalability and efficiency through features like batch processing and automated workflows, serving as a compelling case study for other enterprises considering the XDC Network for their applications. The platform's global reach, facilitated by its decentralized nature and multi-language support, will likely drive international adoption of the XDC Network. Additionally, the development of a mobile application will extend the network's accessibility, attracting more users and transactions. Investment in research and development will further open avenues for innovation, showcasing the network's versatility. Overall, the funding will enable us to create a platform that not only revolutionizes the traditional notary industry but also contributes significantly to the growth, credibility, and utility of the XDC Network.
AI-Driven Features
Advanced Document Verification: Implement machine learning algorithms to enhance the document verification process, making it more robust and reliable.
Fraud Detection: Utilize AI algorithms to detect any fraudulent activities or inconsistencies in the documents being notarized.
Machine Learning for Identity Verification: Utilize machine learning algorithms to automate and enhance the identity verification process, making it more secure and less prone to errors.
Identifying Duress: Introduce algorithms that can identify signs of duress or coercion during the notarization process, adding an additional layer of security and ethical compliance.
Prior Work
Kovach Technologies has active members of the blockchain community. We have built out the educational NFT smart contract for the Stellar Foundation project for SydTek DAO. We have supported Women in Blockchain Canada on their mobile application platform on the ICP network and are currently working on another project for the DFINITY foundation.
